last gasp equaliser saves a point for industrious dales

Danny Harding's pearler of a header deep into stoppage time saved a point against a spirited East Londoners side.
With the Dales playing their first Premier league fixture since 1995, there were a large number of players disappointingly unavailable for this incredibly important fixture for the Club.
Having begun well however and having put pressure on the visiting defence from ball 1, it was East Londoners who got ahead when an unfortunate slip let the striker in to score and make it 1-0.
Not long before the break and after another sustained spell of pressure which had brought about a number of chances, JT finished from close range to level the scores.
Despite starting the second half brightly, East Londoners extra fitness levels started to tell and when a sliding challenge resulted in a penalty, tucked away safely, the game looked as if it was drifting away from the Dales.
However, with East Londoners put under more good pressure late on, a terrific corner was swung in and Danny Harding got his nut to the ball and found the back of the net to secure a 2-2 draw on the opening day of the season.
